Hokies Add Pavoni To Division I Staff

Blacksburg, VA – February 4, 2025 – The Virginia Tech Hokies Men's Lacrosse program is proud to announce the addition of Justin Pavoni to its coaching staff as the new Defensive Coordinator. Pavoni, a respected lacrosse professional with a strong background as both a player and a coach, brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record in defensive strategy to the Hokies.

A standout player during his collegiate career at the United States Air Force Academy where he was a 3-time all GWLL and named pre-season AA by Inside Lacrosse. Pavoni is known for his strategic insights and leadership on the field.  His firsthand experience in high-level competition will be instrumental in elevating the defensive play of the Hokies as they aim to compete at the highest levels of collegiate lacrosse.

"Justin's deep understanding of the game and his ability to inspire and develop players will be a tremendous asset to our program," said Panchito Ojeda, Head Coach of Virginia Tech Men's Lacrosse. Beyond his professional achievements, Pavoni is a devoted family man, residing in Craig County with his wife and their five children. His strong community values and commitment to family reflect the spirit of teamwork and perseverance that the Hokies embody both on and off the field.
