Blacksburg, VA – The Virginia Tech Division II Men’s Lacrosse team showcased its competitive spirit and resilience over the weekend, splitting action with a resounding 12-10 win over Dayton on Friday and a hard-fought 8-7 double overtime loss to Coastal on Sunday.

In a high-stakes out-of-conference matchup Friday night, the Hokies turned up the intensity early, outscoring Dayton in a game marked by aggressive offense and tenacious defense. The victory was highlighted by standout performances from the team’s leaders. Goalie Justin Cole anchored the defense with a series of crucial saves that kept Dayton at bay, while Trevor Shirley led the offensive charge, consistently finding his mark “at the dot” to drive the scoring and energize the team.
